Job Title: Installation Lead
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Intelligent Hospitals Systems is an exciting, fast-paced, growing medical device company developing a revolutionary new robotic system designed to automate the preparation of patients’ intravenous medications in a hospital pharmacy setting. RIVA is the first fully automated system to prepare both IV bags and syringes, in multiple sizes, for pediatric, adult, and oncology environments. RIVA is being developed, and will be manufactured in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ideally, the individual will reside in the Winnipeg, Manitoba or Minneapolis, Minnesota area, although not essential as this role will involve traveling.
The Lead will provide effective leadership to the installation team and will be accountable for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing IH Systems equipment. The Installation Lead will disassemble RIVA and prepare for shipping to customer location. The Lead will also perform testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on IH Systems products during installation.
The major responsibilities of this position will include:

Serves as the Team Lead and assists with on-site operation activities (staff scheduling/coverage, training and development, administration and reporting, etc.). |

Works with the Field Service Representatives to ensure quality installations, service, and scheduling. |
| • |
Programs, troubleshoots, tests, and repairs equipment. |
| • |
Installs equipment into customer site as needed. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all shop paperwork and reports. |
| • |
Dismantles, and reconstructs equipment required by customer or RIVA order. |
| • |
Accountable for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing IHS equipment. Performs testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on IHS products during install. |

Constructs and tests circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams. |
| • |
Provides technical support in product service, product training and applications. |
| • |
Analyzes malfunctions in equipment and interprets maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct the fault. |

Consults with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to unusual problems in system. |
| • |
Implements design modifications and provide installation support for the modifications. Performs start-up service as defined in specifications. Maintains service equipment, tools and documentation. Makes connections and required adjustments as directed; tests operation of all components of each system to properly establish service. |

Evaluates information furnished for the job, delivered materials, layout of customer’s premises and practical routes for cable, conduit and/or wiring. |

Complies with sterile procedure during installs in sterile environments. |
| • |
Promptly reports defective material or equipment, inaccuracies, or omissions in job information that may result in inadequate protection for customer use. |

Follows safety practices to safeguard against injury and damage to property. |
| • |
Safeguards against loss of unused materials and tools on a job site. |
| • |
Cleans up debris from installation and returns unused materials. |
| • |
Maintains pertinent records as required. |
| • |
Ability to work/travel alone or as part of a team |

Performs other duties as required. |
Qualifications:
| • |
Engineering technologist, technician or journeyman electrician preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Skills and Experience:
| • |
Min. 3 – 5 years field experience. |
| • |
Must be familiar and/or trained with installation know-how, blueprint/schematic reading and method of procedures. |
| • |
Must have some experience in leading an installation team. |
| • |
Must have demonstrated manual dexterity, be physically agile, able to maneuver and work in a confined space, and can lift and carry loads up to 70 lbs. |
| • |
Ability to travel in Canada and the U.S. without restrictions, (2 weeks on site in Winnipeg, 3 weeks off site at customer location). |
| • |
The qualified candidate must work well within a team, have satisfactory written/reading communication skills as well as good customer service skills and be adaptable to changing environments. |

Flexible working hours are required, including nights and weekends. |
Successful candidates may be required to undergo drug testing and criminal background checks.
