Manufacturing Engineer/Technologist
The Manufacturing Engineer/Technologist plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties:

Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.

Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and responds to their request.

Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Maintains and establish process control points to ensure process consistency. Develop and maintain process instructions and process metrics (SPC/yields, including limits review, limits setting and quarterly summaries)

Work as an interface between Engineering and Production to monitor and communicate the status of manufacturing and engineering, priorities, issues and activities.

Attend production wrap-up meetings as the Engineering prime.

EC review and Implementation.
Education and Experience
Skills and Knowledge

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees of organization.

Able to develop and implement quality plans for new processes and products involving Production, Engineering, Quality, Materials and Management personnel.

Training of production personnel in regards to methods responsibilities

Proven ability to manage daily workloads effectively and identify and prioritize issues of an urgent nature with ease.

Effective organization skills for documentation and record keeping.
-
Demonstrated experience using MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of SPC methods for process controls
-
High level of experience in a MRP environment and familiar with ISO Standards.
